My Second Portrait Photo Session
These photos were a personal favor to a friend that need them for his portfolio. I did not enjoy taking these photos because there is so much to take care of in a portrait session where your only set is a white background. If you follow this blog, then you know that I have already done a portrait session, but because the location was the beach the feeling was different; I think what scares me is having only a white background without mentioning the common portraint session chat: look down, look up, don´t smile but don look angry… aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrgggggggggg!!
However the results really pleased me.
I’m Back With a Cliché
My last post was on July 17th, five days before I’ve got my first job….. and know you can imagine why it took me too long before I post something else. I didn’t stop taking photographs, in fact I did upload some of them to my Flickr account but I just haven’t got the time to make a post here.
If this is the first time you visit my blog and you like what you see here, then I hope you come back because I’ll be adding new stuff for you to see; and if this is the second, third, fourth time, you see this blog: WELL DONE!!
My First Portrait Photo Session
Once I read that in photography sometimes is good to get out of your comfort zone in order increase your creativity doing things that you would not normally do. In this case I decided to do a photo sesion with a friend of mine who likes to pose and loves to be phorographed.
The Market II
I made these photos while I was holding some grocery bags with my left and the camera with the other hand on a sunday morning at my hometown’s marketplace. Because I was using a 100 ISO film I set up my aperture to f/1.8 and leaved the exposure at automatic with the autofocus mode on.
That day was really crowded so nobody paid me a lot of attention wich is good when you don’t want to get it.
Traffic Signs
Sometimes I feel stupid when people stare at me while I’m photographing traffic signs because I think they might be thinking that I’m a stupid for doing that; but if you look carefully you’ll realize that traffic signs can be beautiful subjects for a photograph and most important, they can give personality to an image that otherwise will be dull.
Goalkeeper
An old friend from Secondary School and I went to our first Photowalk after 9-10 years of not see each other; I found him thanks to Facebook on the Intertet one year ago while I was at Veracruz finishing my degree and while he was at Monterrery working as a freelance graphic designer. Right now we both are living again in our hometown. Read the rest of this entry »
Mom’s Desktop
I was sitting at my mon’s desktop using her computer when all of the sudden I realize the light was perfect to make a photo; so picked up my camera, arranged the desk a little bit and then I made the shot. I think it will be a nice image to look at a few years from now after her retirement.
VW
I was walking down the street to the local lab where I get my film developed & scanned, when I saw this green old VW combi wainting for me to take its photograph. What I think makes this photo a good photo is the big white VW logo wich pops out of the green color, without it the combi wouldn’t look as funky as it looks.
